Riparian Church grew out of conversations about faith, skepticism, science, culture, and the big questions about intellectual growth in a post-Christian world.  This blog seeks to investigate what is gained and lost by appealing to hidden things and spiritual things in a material world, and to understand why skeptics, believers, and all the people in between do the crazy shit they do.

Sometimes it finds things we have in common, sometimes it points out the things we can never really quite get about each other.
