Putting the X Back In Xmas: Misanthropic Christmas Observation #1

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra drains the sentimentality out of Christmas music and fills its husk with sawdust, hangs it up and paints a grin on it, puts a flashing laser on its head, and gives it a mullet.  Like its hair in the front and the back, and like its namesake, the Trans-Siberian Railway, it goes on forever, loudly and uncomfortably. It has more energy than point. It has neither innovation nor sentimentality to recommend it, and I am afraid that I must say, you must all go to the Trans-Siberian Lie Down On The Railway Orchestra Christmas Concert without me.

I'm going to have to dissagree with you here. I LOVE the Trans-Siberian orchestra and the energy of the music. It's both beautiful and highly energetic and it gets me in a very excited Christmas mood. A friend of mine recently broke up with his girlfriend and consequently had an extra ticket and I offered to prostitute myself to him if he would take me along.
