From the Book of Otter: Shape Your Bank Account

Every dance that you decline, every night you spend alone, every walk you find too far, every thought you find too frightening, each desire you find too sharp, every fish you snatch from your neighbor...

These sins pile up along your riverbank.

When they decay, they bring new life.

Like all things, you slip by them in the stream of your own making.

Be sure then of all you do.

I'll remember to not snatch my neighbor's fish, but the rest....I'm sunk....

This hits very close to home for me. It feels like (even though I know it wasn't) it was written just for me.

I like the Book of Otter.
