Pagan-Speak: They Get It

I like teaching pagans.

They see the Bible a little more clearly than my religious students.

This is from one of them, in a reading journal:

I've always wondered why there are so many different branches of the same religion (Even though I know the main reason which is that people disagree). Take Christianity for example, you have your Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, ext. I find it odd that there are so many different "groups" because Paul hits on this in his letter to the Corinthians.

The Corinthians were arguing about who they belonged to some were saying "I belong to Apollo" or "I belong to Cephas" or "I belong to Christ", but Paul responds with the remark "Has Christ been divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul". He basically said that you do not belong to anyone but God, so stop arguing about it. So I just think that everyone just missed this, which is why Christianity is the way it is.

Yeah.  I guess everyone just missed that part.
