From Hell To Breakfast Mini-Review With Mini-Recipe: Tom Waits' "Bad Like Me"

Late for work: this will have to be quick.  Seems I'm always rushing these days.

NPR's got a first listen up of Tom Waits' "Bad Like Me."

I've only gotten a few minutes' listening in so far.  That's what the commute is for.

But, like all Tom Waits songs, what I've heard is the sound of a man aching in the arms of a difficult universe.

It's on my Amazon list because Tom Waits' music gets into your bones.

Which, when you're making good lamb-broth, you should break.  The marrow flavors it, and provides a strong nutritious flavor.

I just love Tom Waits. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said he is aching. If I couldn't hear it in his voice, I definitely hear it in his words.
