Ideola: Hold Back

There's something about grief that feels like somebody's been kicking me in the head all day.

Losing myself between sleep, Wodehouse, and Mark Heard.

 Hold Back Your Tears
[Like You've Been Told]

when something shakes your fiber
and stings your deepest part
just learn to be a liar
hold back your tears
when something cuts you deeply
and blood runs from your soul
just hide your heart completely
hold back your tears

hold back your tears
like you've been told
hold back your tears
like you've been told

when love has turned to ashes
and comfort can't be found
just imitate the masses
hold back your tears
frowns twist the face of passion
but even deepest graves
must be ignored by fashion
hold back your tears

hold back your tears
like you've been told
hold back your tears
like you've been told

remember the way life's supposed to be
a frank and honest face
could well destroy society

when your worst enemy winces
at what you have to face
candor has its consequences
hold back your tears
when something shakes your fiber
and stirs your deepest part
just learn to be a liar
hold back your tears

hold back your tears
like you've been told
hold back your tears
like you've been told

I'm so sorry.

Thou tellest my wanterings: put thou my tears in a bottle: are they not in Thy book? When I cry unto Thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know, for God is with me. ~Psalm 56: 8-9

Don't hold them back; find a quiet place and let the tears fall. They are the product of the good love of family, and they have immense value to God. Then, read more Wodehouse, and get a nice glass of wine and something to eat:

Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. ~Ecclesiastes 9:7
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine...~Proverbs 17:22a

Peace to you and yours, Otter.
