New Orleans Weather Report

Copyright 2011 Michelle Garza Photography (mgarzaphotography.com). Used by Permission.Somehow New Orleans has managed to garner a storm warning, a flash-flood warning, and an air-quality alert because of smoke from a marsh fire.

New Orleans is like a beautiful but aging woman who's recently been beaten.  And when you find her in the street, everything in you either says, "She probably deserved it," or else you fall in love with your whole heart, out of pity and passion.

A marsh fire? I didn't even realize marshes would burn; I'd have thought they were too wet. Sounds stinky.

Stay safe this storm season.

And to think even after all this rain the marsh fires are still smoldering.
