Fatty Arbuckle

Otter It was on Labor Day of 1921 that Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle was (almost certainly wrongfully) accused of raping and killing Virginia Rappe. His reputation and his career were practically ruined.
For those who love film and especially film comedy, though, he was the man who discovered Buster Keaton and Bob Hope, who mentored Charlie Chaplin. He invented in some ways the visual language of film comedy.
He's worth remembering.
