Good morning.
Nothing more than that:
Just, good morning.
Well.
Not just that…

Otter My students, when I explain that there are intimacies more deep than sex, look a little confused. They don’t know the enormous energy in chastity and mutual respect and total truthfulness. They don’t always get that really good love respects that we love not just one another but all the people that we have to deal with. It begins by acknowledging, “The point of this relationship is not to make me happy or to fulfill me.”
Somehow, it does anyway.
It’s a kind of magic that I wish more people showed an understanding about. It depends not on desire; it depends on being good people together.

“Thus far may you grow, and no more. Any idea you may engage in, but not the one at the center of the garden, the fundamental that holds the thing together.” [But truth] must be true, and it must stand up to the nibbling at the center of the garden. We all nibble at different paces, and find our true selves, and our experience of god, as best we can.
